Griffin, aged 55, of the Capron community was found dead in bed Wednesday morning, August 23. Mr. Griffin was born in the county in 1878* and had been a resident of Capron for 30 years. He was a useful member of the Capron Baptist Church for several years. In young manhood he married Miss Corinne Holt who died about a year ago. One child survives this union, Miss Willie Griffin, a member of the Ivor High School faculty. Besides his daughter he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. B.W. Edwards and Mrs. L.P. Williams of Capron; two brothers, Harvey Griffin Capron and James Griffin of Holland. Funeral services were held at the grave in Capron Cemetery conducted by Rev. R.H. Marks in the absence of his Pastor, Rev. Albert W. Coates. Active pallbearers were: H. Griffin, L.P. Williams, T.B. Edwards, Joseph Griffin, Ray Williams and James Edwards.
