WILLIAM HENRY GRIFFIN 

   W.H. Griffin, 71, died Monday after a short illness at his home near 
Burdette.

   Mr. Griffin is survived by his widow; five children; Mrs. W.F. Edwards, 
Mrs. Hinton Blythe and Miss Odelle Griffin, all of Franklin; Mrs. I.L. 
Carter of Walter and W.F. Griffin, also of Franklin, and 15 grandchildren. 
He is survived by two half-brothers, John and James Griffin, both of 
Southampton County.

   Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday afternoon. 
Interment was made in the family cemetery.
