WILLIAM LEE GEORGE

   Franklin - Funeral services for William Lee George were held Dec. 26 in 
Southampton Memorial Park by Dr. R.E. Brittle.

   He died Dec. 22 in Norfolk General Hospital.

   He lived at 104 Hickory Neck Lane, Suffolk.

   He was a native of Gastonia, N.C., and a son of Mrs. Bessie Pridgen George 
of Chesapeake. He was retired from Union-Camp Corp. and was a member of Holland 
Baptist Church.

   He was an Army veteran of World War II.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Parker of Suffolk; 
four sisters, Mrs. Shirley Radford, Mrs. Alice Newsom, and Miss Marie George of 
Chesapeake, and Mrs. Mae Crompton of Oklahoma; two brothers, Raymond B. George 
of Suffolk and Franklin W. George of West German; and two grandchildren.
