ALICE ELIZABETH MONDELL GRIZZARD

MRS. ELIZABETH GRIZZARD

   Mrs. Elizabeth Mondell Grizzard, 73, died suddenly at her home in 
Drewryville early Saturday morning January 1. 

   Mrs. Grizzard was the widow of Robert Lee Grizzard and a daughter of the 
late George and Mrs. Alice Owen Mondell of Sussex County.  She was a member 
of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville. 

   Surviving are a daughter, Miss Alice E. Grizzard of Richmond, three sons, 
Alton L. Grizzard of Drewryville, George F. Grizzard of Kenbridge, and Dr. 
William S. Grizzard of Petersburg; seven grandchildren; and two sisters Mrs. 
R.H. Best of Petersburg and Mrs. J.C. Dunn of Franklin. 

   Funeral services for Mrs. Grizzard were held at the graveside in 
Drewryville cemetery on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. William 
Stinnette, pastor of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, officiated, assisted 
by Rev. J.T. Cassell, pastor of the Drewryville Methodist Church. 

   Pallbearers were Bob Claud, John T. Claud, Shep Cobb, Bill Leigh, Donald 
Murfee and Thornton Thomas.
