All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ DAVID TURNER GRIZZARD NORFOLK - David Turner Grizzard, 54, of 2607 Wakefield Drive, district manager for Peoples Drug Stores, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 14, at 12:30 p.m. A native of Courtland, son of the late Cola L. and Mrs. Laura Turner Grizzard, he had lived in Norfolk most of his life. He was the husband of Mrs. Grace Etheridge Grizzard. He had been active in Masonic and civic activities in both Washington and Norfolk. He was a member of Bay Lake Methodist Church; Singleton Lodge, AF & AM, Washington; Norfolk Lodge 38; BPO Elks; Kiwanis Club and Better Business Bureau of Norfolk, and Princess Anne Country Club. He also was treasurer of Tidewater Pharmaceutical Assn. and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia Pharmaceutical Assn. and Virginia Restaurant Assn. Besides his wife, surviving are two sons, David T. Grizzard, Jr., and Donald C. Grizzard, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Joseph F. Grizzard of Hampton and John Lee Grizzard of Charlotte, N.C. and one grandchild. A funeral service was conducted at Holloman - Brown Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
