She was 94. A native and a lifetime resident of Southampton County, she was the widow of Henry Grizzard and a daughter of Patrick Henry and Mrs. Emma Harris Ezelle. She was active in her church, the Drewryville Methodist, until her illness. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. E.M. Lilly and Miss Effie Claude Grizzard of Drewryville, Mrs. L.W. Brooks of Chase City, and Mrs. B.B. Andrews of Wakefield; 25 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren. She will be taken from the Purviance Funeral Home of Boykins to the Drewryville Methodist church for funeral services Friday at 2:30 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. J.S. Peebles, pastor, and Rev. Dalphon Thompson, pastor of the Thomas Memorial Church, also of Drewryville. Effie Thomas (EZELLE; Mrs. Henry T.)
