LINTON WOODROW GRIZZARD

   BRANCHVILLE - Linton Woodrow Grizzard, 75, a retired merchant, died Dec. 10 
in a Franklin hospital.

   Mr. Grizzard, a native of Branchville, was a deacon of Boykins Baptist 
Church.  He was a member of Newsoms Masonic Lodge 128, Portsmouth Scottish 
Rite Bodies and Khedive Shrine Temple.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

   Survivors include his wife, Mattie Laura Vick Grizzard.

   The graveside service was conducted Saturday in Beechwood Cemetery in 
Boykins, Va., by the Revs. Philip Motley and Thomas H. Caulkins.  McDowell 
Funeral Home in Boykins handled arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made 
to Boykins Rescue Squad or Capron Rescue Squad.
