CHRISTMAS BELLE BRADSHAW GARDNER

Portsmouth - Christmas Belle Bradshaw Gardner, 94, of the 4900 block of 
Briarwood Lane, died March 11, 1989, in a hospital.

Mrs. Gardner, a native of Southampton County, was the widow of Charlie 
Christopher Gardner.  She was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah B. G. Parsons and Marian G. Simmons, 
both of Portsmouth; a sister Mary E. Wade of Franklin; two grandchildren; and 
two great-great grandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Liberty Springs 
Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. George F. Mullinax.  Friends may join 
the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel.
