Spear, in Kinston, N.C., Thursday, April 27. Miss Gardner was born at Courtland November 11, 1873, the daughter of the late E.J. and Mrs. Ann Williams Gardner. Besides her sister she is survived by six nephews and two nieces. For a number of years she made her home in Franklin with her sister, the late Mrs. W.W. Edwards, and Mr. Edwards. Funeral services were held Friday and interment was made in Maplewood Cemetery, Kinston. Active pallbearers were John Dillahunt, Paul Hemby, C.C. Rick, J.I. Brown, Claude Ballard, Dr. Floyd Wooten, K.M. Harris and S.H. Malone. Honorary pallbearers were her nephews, Gardner T., Roy and Herbert Edwards of Franklin, Randolph Spear, Dr. Herbert Spear, Charlie Spear, Cecil Wooten, Dr. Branch Moore, Dr. Mike Lee and Edgar Hargett.
