WHITEHEAD KITCHEN GERRINGER Mrs. Vergie Whitehead Gerringer, age 69, died Monday at 3:30 A.M. at her residence after a long illness. A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of Wendell* T. and Sally Rebecca Eley Whitehead and the wife of Rev. C.E. Gerringer. She was a member of the Courtland Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by her five foster sons; two sisters, Mrs. Soloman W. Gardner and Mrs. Otelia W. Story of Franklin; three brothers, George Elmo Whitehead and Leland Whitehead and Robert Royal Whitehead, all of Courtland, a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. in the W.J.M Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Charles L. Smith and Dr. J.E. Danieley. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 P.M. ****************************************************************************** Vergie W.
