Rites Friday At Zuni For Callie Garner 

  IVOR - Funeral services for Callie Garner will be conducted Friday at 2:30 
p.m. in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church near Zuni by the Rev. J.W. Horne.  Burial 
will be in the church cemetery.  The body will be taken from the Purviance 
Funeral Home to the church at 1:30. 

  Mr. Garner, 62, died in his home near Ivor, Wednesday morning after an 
illness of three years. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of William W. and Mrs. Molly 
Gwaltney Garner.  A retired farmer of Southampton County, he was the widower 
of Mrs. Ethel Saunders Garner. 

  He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. 

  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hazel D. Joyner and Miss Rose Marie 
Garner of Ivor and Mrs. Evelyn R. Tettertom of Smithfield; two brothers, John 
T. Garner of Petersburg and Wesley E. Garner of Ivor; a sister, Mary Lucy 
Parkinson of Raleigh; and three grandchildren.
