MARY ELIZABETH JONES GARNER

   DREWRYVILLE - A funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Jones Garner was 
conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Thomas Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. 
Roy Arnold.  Burial was in Drewryville Cemetery.

   Mrs. Garner, 79, the widow of James A. Garner, died Monday in Petersburg 
General Hospital.

   A former resident of Emporia, she lately lived in Drewryville.

   She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville.

   Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Allen Partridge of Drewryville; two sons, 
J.C. Garner of Colonial Heights, and W.J. Garner of Perry Point, Md.; nine 
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
