LIZZIE M. BRITT PARSONS HAYES

   IVOR - Mrs. Lizzie Britt Parsons Hayes died Wednesday, June 27, in a 
Franklin hospital after illness of six days.

   A lifelong resident of Ivor community, she was a daughter of N.B. and 
Mrs. Victoria Horne Britt.  She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church 
and the widow of L. Garland Parsons and Willie R. Hayes.

   Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. York of Shertz, Tex.; a son, L. 
Purnell Parsons of Wakefield; three stepsons, J.B. Hayes and Arthur Hayes of 
Urbanna and Henry Hayes of New Jersey; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edward Baker of 
Franklin; two brothers, Walter G. Britt and Percy L. Britt of Ivor; five 
grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

   A funeral service was held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, 
Wakefield, by the Rev. J.W. Horne.  Burial was in Tucker Swamp Church Cemetery 
near Zuni.
