All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ PHILIP McKINLEY HAYES Philip McKinley Hayes, 63, native and lifelong resident of Franklin, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 4, after an illness of several weeks. The deceased was a son of the late Albert Woodville Hayes and Mrs. Sallie Cutchin Hayes of Franklin. He was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Midkiff of Suffolk; a grandson; a brother, Raymond Hayes of Franklin; and a sister, Miss Mabel Hayes, also of Franklin. Funeral services for Mr. Hayes will be at the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons this afternoon (Friday) at 2:30 o’clock by Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Interment will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
