Hasty died suddenly at his home at Vincent’s Grove July 26, 1927. He was in his 55th year and until very recently had been in good health. He was neighborly and kind to those with whom he came in contact, ever seeking by work and act to brighten the lives of those around him. He will be greatly missed in his home and community. Besides the widow, he is survived by three sons, Percy, Joe and Amos; one daughter, Mrs. F.W. Miles; three brothers and two sisters. Interment was made in the family burying ground at Rock Spring farm near Capron in the presence of many friends and loved ones. Numerous and pretty floral designs attested the respect and sympathy of the friends of the family.
