Haythe, 58, of 52 Belmont Road died in a hospital Tuesday morning after a short illness. A native of North Carolina, he lived here 20 years. He was a Civil Service worker at Ft. Eustis. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson Haythe of Newport News; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Pruitt and Mrs. Josephine Byrd of Danville and Mrs. Violet Bouri of Nevada; and two brothers, Reynolds Haythe of China Grove, N.C., and Swann Haythe of Reidsville, N.C. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Riverside Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Walter Martin Jr. of Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be in Tucker Swamp Cemetery, Zuni.
