MARY LENA DREWRY HOOD

   NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Lena Drewry Hood, 77, widow of John E. Hood and 
daughter of Samuel B. and Mrs. Roberta Moss Drewry, died in a Norfolk hospital 
Thursday, July 21, at 2:30 p.m.

   She is survived by two sons, J. Etheridge Hood and C. Herbert Hood, both of 
Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Mary H. Beahm of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. B.P. 
Woodard of Norfolk, Mrs. E.B. Prince of Newsoms and Mrs. J.S. Schneider of 
Boykins; four brothers, J.D. H. Drewry of Norfolk, J.S. Drewry, H.M. Drewry 
and J.H. Drewry, all of Boykins and eight grandchildren.

   Mrs. Hood was a native of Southampton County and had lived in Norfolk for 
45 years, residing at 1411 Ashland Circle.  She was a member of the First 
Methodist Church.

   A funeral service was conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 3 
p.m.  Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were her nephews; S.E. Pope, Joseph S. Drewry, Jr., George W. 
Prince, Eppa B. Prince, M.B. Drewry, J.H. Drewry, Jr., Sam B. Drewry and C.W. 
Vanderberry.
