LEWIS HERBERT HATFIELD 

   BLACK CREEK - Funeral services for Lewis Herbert Hatfield, Sr., 71, who 
died Saturday morning in a Norfolk Hospital, were conducted Tuesday afternoon 
at 1 o’clock in Holloman-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk.

   Burial was in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

   Mr. Hatfield was the husband of Mrs. Sallie B. Hatfield and a son of the 
late Carr and Mrs. Margaret Hatfield of Southampton County.


Lewis Herbert HATFIELD, Sr., of Norfolk, 
Southampton Co. native, d. 7 Aug 1962, Norfolk, age 71, 
interred in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (unmarked*), 9 Aug 1962, 
"The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Aug. 30, 1962, p. 6 

*Unmarked, Lewis & his first wife Effie M. (MUNFORD) HATFIELD have been 
   added to the cemetery list; his parents are also buried there.
