Howell FRANKLIN - Mrs. Annie Lou Lankford Howell, 74, died Thursday afternoon in Roanoke Rapids (N.C.) Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Joseph Richard Howell and a daughter of Jessie and Mrs. Louise Lankford. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter Jo Ann Howell Rose of Franklin, and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
