HOWELL Franklin, May 28 - (Special) - Miss John Chetta Ophelia Howell, 70, died tonight at the home of her niece, Mrs. Joe Johnson, after an illness of 24 hours. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Robertson Howell, of Isle of Wight County. She is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Joe Johnson, and Mrs. John Beaton, of Franklin; Mrs. T.A. Lankford, of Carrsville, and Mrs. J.W. Councill, of Norfolk, and an uncle, John W. Robertson, of Lynnhaven. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 o’clock Friday afternoon from the residence of Mrs. Joe Johnson, on Grove Street, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
