Howell, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Howell of Isle of Wight County, died at his home near Franklin Monday of pneumonia in his twenty-eighth year. The deceased was a successful lumberman and a young man of many sterling qualities, with a wide circle of friends and a splendid reputation in all of his dealings with his fellows. He was loyal and consistent member of Beaver Dam Baptist church where the funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by Rev. G.R. Pankey, pastor of the church. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a number of relatives. The active pallbearers were Joe Johnson, Marvin Howell, Clinton Bradshaw, Ralph Lankford, Claude Dickens, Julian Dickens, Kenneth Howell and Tom Lankford.
