She was the wife of Arthur Howell and a daughter of Benjamin and Mrs. Rosa Bryant of Southampton County. She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. Besides her husband, surviving are one son, Eugene Howell, and one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Howell of Sedley; three brothers, Eugene Bryant of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Harry Bryant and Leslie Bryant of Portsmouth; and three sisters, Mrs. T.J. Joyner, Sr., Mrs. J. Emmett Everett of Emporia and Mrs. Annie Cobb of Petersburg. A funeral service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Courtland Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Lee Bailey, pastor, and the Rev. Gordon Price of Roanoke Rapids Baptist Church. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Cora Lee (BRYANT; Mrs. Arthur M.) HOWELL, b.
