Hill, and mother of Judge C.W. Hill and Mr. John T. Hill, will regret to learn of her death, which occurred at 1 o'clock yesterday morning from paralysis, at the residence of Judge Hill at Capron, Southampton County. The deceased was 75 years of age, and was highly respected by all who knew her. The remains will be brought here on the Atlantic and Danville railroad this morning at 9 o'clock. The funeral will take place at 12 o'clock to-day from the residence of Mr. J.T. Hill, No. 221 North Street. Her husband (1813 - 1842) was the editor of the "Portsmouth Times and Repulican." Eliza appears in the 1850 Census in Norfolk with her sons, several of her siblings, and their widowed mother.
