JOHN ALLEN HALL JR.

   Franklin - A funeral service for John Allen Hall Jr., 56, was held Monday at 
3 p.m. in Southampton Memorial Park by Dr. R.E. Brittle.

   He died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   He was the son of Mrs. Pattie Williams Hall and a native of Wallace, N.C.

   He was a mathematics teacher at Highland Springs High School for 15 years and 
formerly taught at Southampton High School in Courtland and King William High 
School of Richmond. He was a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and a member of 
Virginia Education Association.

   Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Francis H. Lowe, Mrs. Gayle H. 
Tawney and Miss Ruby Hall of Franklin and Mrs. Irma H. Bell of Chesapeake; two 
brothers, Elmer K. Hall and Charles D. Hall of Franklin; five nephews and three 
nieces.

   The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
