All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Obituary: Jennie Bradshaw Howell: Norfolk, VA, 1943 Mrs. Jennie Bradshaw Howell, aged 80, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mae Nelms, 702 Redgate avenue, apartment 6, with whom she resided for many years, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 after a an illness of several years. She was a native of Isle of Wight County and had been a resident of Norfolk for 26 years. She was the widow of Roscius B. Howell and a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Beale Bradshaw. Mrs. Howell was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Isle of Wight County. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Nelms, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. J. P. Duke, of Suffolk, and Mrs. Pearl Aumann, of Norfolk; three sons, Harvey H. Howell, Joel C. Howell and R. L. Howell, all of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Elisha Lankford, of Franklin; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover avenue, pending completion of funeral arrangements. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Jennie Bradshaw Howell - Funeral services for Mrs. Howell, widow of Roscius B. Howell, who died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mae H. Nelms, 702 Redgate avenue, Apt. 6, Friday afternoon, will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover avenue at Manteo street, this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. P.
