Howell FRANKLIN - Joseph Richard Howell Jr., 58, an employee of the Town of Franklin, died in his home at 575 Ashton Ave. Thursday after a heart attack. He was the husband of Annie Lou Lankford Howell and a son of the late Joseph Richard and Mrs. Lulie Molee Howell. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jo Anne Howell Rose of Franklin,; a sister, Mrs. S. S. Roberts of Suffolk; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JOSEPH RICHARD HOWELL, JR. FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Joseph Richard Howell was conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Griffin, M.M. Revelle, Julian Whitley, Jesse Harrison, Virgil Derby, Harold Atkinson, Edwin Beale and Lewis Gray. Howell, 58, an employee of the Town of Franklin, died in his home at 575 Ashton Ave. Thursday afternoon after a heart attack.
