RICHARD BYNUM HILL

    BOYKINS - A funeral service for Richard Bynum Hill was conducted Wednesday 
at 3 p.m. in Boykins Baptist Church by the Rev. James Campbell and the Rev. Ben 
B. Ussery. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. McDowell Funeral Home was in charge.

   Pallbearers were Vivian G. Smith, W. Hugh Powell, Jr., Jack M. Powell, 
Malcolm Coleman, Wilson W. Barnes, W.R. Emmons, and Roy A. Lassiter.

   Hill, 63, died Monday morning in his home after an illness of several months.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Eunice Smith Hill 
and a son of Willie and Mrs. Rosa Britt Hill.

   He was a retired farmer and a member of Boykins Baptist Church.

   Besides his widow, surviving are two sons, Roy Bland Hill of Fredericksburg 
and Calvin Smith Hill of Newport News; a sister, Mrs. Willa Mae Vick of Boykins; 
three brothers, Carroll B. Hill of Boykins, Jimmy Hill and Edward L. Hill of 
Norfolk; and two grandsons.
