Howell, a native of Franklin and former resident of Suffolk died suddenly Thursday, Sept. 14. He was the son of the late Frank E. and Mamie Barrett Howell of Franklin. He is survived by his widow Mary Lou Evans Howell of Hayward; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Howell Crawford; three grandchildren of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one brother, Frank E. Howell Jr. of Suffolk.
