Helveston, died in her sleep on Tuesday, February 7, at her home in Biloxi, Miss. Mrs. Helveston was the daughter of the late William Joseph Cross and Mrs. Lucy S. Cross of Franklin. She had resided in Mississippi for the past 12 years. About six months ago she suffered a nervous breakdown, and had only recently returned from a sanitarium in Jackson, Miss. Besides her husband she is survived by a brother, William Joseph Cross, Jr., of Franklin; a niece, Mrs. Ralph Gadberry, also of Franklin; a half- sister, Mrs. Alex Steinhardt of Norfolk; and three half-brothers, Garland, Kermit and Leo Saunders of Holland. Funeral services were held at the graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery at three o’clock Saturday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. W.A. Grissom, and Rev. R.D. Stephenson officiating. Pallbearers were P.R. Clark, James E. Rawls, J.O. Cutchins, Jr., Vance Vaughan, Carlton Cutchin, and Ralph Gadberry, Jr. Isaquella Iola (CROSS CUTCHIN; Mrs. Mark G.)
