MRS. ESTHER CALLIS HOLT 

  Mrs. Esther Callis Holt, 47, wife of C.A. Holt, well-known resident of 
Wakefield, died at her home in Wakefield Saturday afternoon after a short 
illness. 

  Mrs. Holt was the daughter of Robert S. Holt [sic; Callis] of Meredithville, 
and the late Mrs. Francis Wells Callis.  She was a member of the Wakefield 
Baptist Church. 

  Mrs. Holt is survived by two step-sons, James Reginald Holt, of Wakefield, 
and E.W. Holt, of Ivor; three sisters, Lulu May Callis, of Meredithville; Mrs. 
W.H. Kirkland, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. H.D. Fredenburgh, of Wakefield; two 
brothers, Willie F. Callis, of Norlina, and Harvey L. Callis, of 
Meredithville.

Death of Mrs. C.A. Holt 

   Mrs. C.A. Holt, wife of Cosco A. Holt, who lived in Ivor around 15 years, 
died in Wakefield Saturday, where they resided for the last few years.  Burial 
was in the Ivor Cemetery on Monday afternoon.
