Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin. Burial was in the Holt family cemetery in Southampton County. Pallbearers were Charles L. Holt Jr., Winston C. Holt, Douglas W. Holt, Fenton B. Holt Sr., Ossie L. DuVall Jr. and Albert W. Farrencop Jr. Minister were Rev. Cafer Marley, and Dr. R.B. Brittle. Mrs. Holt, 76, died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Warren County, N.C., she was a daughter of John and Mrs. Mollie Duke Adcock and the widow of William Henry Holt. She was a member of Friends Meetings House of Sedley, Women’s Bible Class and Ladies Aid Society. She is survived by four sons, Charles F. Holt and Fenton Bryan Holt of Franklin, William H. Holt Jr. of Ivor, and Douglas Holt of the Air Force in England; a daughter, Mrs. William Weatherald of Beltsville, Md. Four sisters, Mrs. Lula West and Mrs. Mollie Haithcock of Macon, N.C., Mrs. Blanche Brummit of Henderson, N.C., and Mrs. Clara Holt of Wakefield; two brothers, Henrilton Adcock of Alexandria and Clarence Adcock of Madon; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
