Holt Killed By Falling Tree Near Ivor Home Mallory Clifton Holt, 71, well-known farmer of the Ivor community, was killed instantly June 25, 1954, by a falling tree while cutting timber near his home. He was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Eunice Gay Holt, of Southampton County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Eliza Doyle Holt; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie Holland of Sedley, and Mrs. Myrtle Bulls of Ivor; four grandchildren; four brothers, John, A.N., and Willie Holt of Ivor, and C.A. Holt of Wakefield. Funeral services were conducted at the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home Sunday at 4 P.M. by the Rev. A.W. Coates and the Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Burial was in the family cemetery near Sedley. ****************************************************************************** MALLORY C. Stephenson officiated, and burial was in the family cemetery near Sedley. Mr. Holt was killed instantly last Friday when a tree fell on him while he was cutting timber near his home. He was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Eunice Gay Holt of Southampton County.
