Holt, 46, Of Windsor, Buried Feb. 7th Shelton Moody Holt, 46, a native of Southampton County, died at Windsor late Sunday, February 4, 1962, evidently the victim of a heart attack. The son of the late James Robert and Bessie Virginia Munford Holt, he was a retired veteran of World War II and a member of the Friends Church. Surviving are one son, Shelton Earl Holt, of Waverly; two daughters, Mrs. Nelda Page Cabell of Blacksburg and Miss Mary Ann Holt of Sedley; three brothers, E.T. and Johnny Holt, both of Suffolk, and Andrew Holt of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Earl Powell of Suffolk and Mrs. Guy Lowe of Franklin; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Holland Funeral Chapel by Dr. R.E. Brittle of Suffolk, pastor of the Bethlehem Christian Church, at 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 7th. Interment was in the Hope [sic; Holt] burial grounds near Ivor.
