High St., died Friday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Mrs. Lucy Byrd Holland. He was a former deacon of Congregational Christian Church. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and was an honorary member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department. He was retired from the lumber division of Union Camp Corp. Other survivors include six sisters, Miss Lucille Holland, Mrs. Kathlene Worrell and Mrs. Evelyn Holland, all of Franklin, Mrs. Bernice Chappell of Suffolk, Mrs. Viola Taylor of Hertford, N.C. and Mrs. Mertie Mae Barnhill of Lusby, Md.; and a brother, Kenneth R. Holland of Morningstar, Md. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Revs. H.R. Watkins and Dr. G.R. Daughtrey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.* The body will be taken from Peebles Funeral Home to the church at 2 p.m. The family will assemble at 8090 Gates Rd., Suffolk.
