H. Holland Sent Bullet Through Brain for Unknown Cause. Suffolk, Va., Sept. 12. - In the seclusion of his home, while his family was at church attending a religious service, Joseph A.H. Holland, a farmer of Southampton county, Va., committed suicide recently by firing a bullet into his brain. The weapon was of 32 calibre. When the wife returned she found the lifeless body of her husband. He had been dead more than an hour. Close by was the pistol with which he had destroyed himself. It is thought the deed was done about 2 p.m., as a farm hand heard a report about that hour. The cause of the suicide is not known. Justice Jenkins viewed the remains but did not deem an inquest necessary. The deceased was 32 years old. He leaves a mother, brother, widow and one child. The funeral service was conducted at Poplar Spring cemetery by Rev. J.L. McCutchen. These were pallbearers: J.F. Byrant Jr., James Wills, E.R. Darden, Edward Holland, Thomas Gray, Luke Gray, Elmo M.
