Mrs. Holland was a native of Southampton County. She was the wife of Nathan Pugh Holland and the daughter of Frank C. and Mrs. Annie Harcum Bailey. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church. Surviving her besides her husband are one step-son Lewis H. Holland of Courtland, two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Jenkins of Portsmouth and Mrs. Milton Worrell of Newsoms, five brothers, Howard Bailey of Newsoms, O.M. Bailey of Como, Robert Bailey of Franklin, Harvey Bailey of Holland and Waverly Bailey of Suffolk and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. W.L. George pastor of New Hope Methodist Church and the Rev. William Gwaltney pastor of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were: C.J. Hurst, L.W. Minton, Thomas Matthews, Robert Holland, Fouchee Railey and Johnnie Joyner. Annie Pearl (BAILEY WARREN DAVIS; Mrs. Nathan P.)
