HOLLAND DIES IN GEORGIA News was received here last Tuesday of the death of Thomas Junius Holland in Georgia. Mr. Holland aged 72, died at his home in Ambrose, Ga., after an illness of three months. He was the son of the late Eldridge and Mrs. Mary E. Holland of the Holy Neck community in Nansemond County. The greater part of his life had been spent in Georgia, going there at the age of 21. He was first married to Miss Ella Smith of Wray, Ga., and of this union is survived by one son, Wilbur S. Holland. In 1929, he married Miss Jennie Camp of White Springs, Fla., who survives him with a son, T.J. Holland, Jr. Besides his wife and two sons, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Tom Cobb of Franklin and three brothers, W.J. Holland of Holland, R.S. Holland of Suffolk and H.H. Holland of Norfolk. Funeral services were conducted last Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Ambrose Christian Church, by the Rev. Mr. Carpenter, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Watson of the Baptist Church, with interment in the family burying ground. Relatives from this section who went to Georgia for Mr. Holland’s funeral were his brother, W.J. Holland, Will Morgan and Etha March of Holland; T. Hayes Holland and Clayton Cobb of Franklin. [Thomas Junius HOLLAND, Nansemond Co. native?, d.
