Ben B. Ussery, pastor, and the Rev. Rowland F. Pruette of Murfreesboro Baptist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The body was taken from McDowell Funeral Home to the church at 2 p.m. Pallbearers were Spier Edwards, W.B. Emmons, Wilson Barnes, Victor Grizzard, Henry Fuller and George Davis. Mrs. Holland, 81, died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harry Underwood, in Murfreesboro, N.C., Tuesday at 6 p.m. A native of Northampton County, N.C., she lived in Boykins many years. She first was married to Cicero Vick, and after his death to John W. Holland. She was a daughter of Alonzo B. and Mrs. Magdelene Flythe Martin. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church, Boykins Woman’s Club, and Southampton Eastern Star Chapter. Surviving, besides Mrs. Underwood, are another daughter, Mrs. Arthur B. Harris of Branchville; a son, John H. Vick of Los Angeles; two brothers, C.C. Martin of Durham, N.C. and Paul Martin of Portsmouth; a sister, Mrs. J.R. Carstarphen of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Floy Vivian (MARTIN VICK; Mrs. John W.)
