HOMER JACKSON HANCOCK ANDERSON, S.C. - A funeral service for Dr. Homer Jackson Hancock was conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, Anderson, S.C. by the Rev. Edward Clippard. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, Monday at 5:30 with McDonald Funeral Home in charge. Dr. Hancock, 58, of 1806 Lindale Road, Anderson, S.C., died Saturday at 9 a.m. in Anderson Hospital. A native of Sedley, he was a son of Andrew Jackson and Mrs. Mary Whitfield Hancock and the husband of Mrs. Harriett Hudgins Hancock. He was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and the Medical College of Virginia. He was a member of the American College of Surgeons and Anderson County Medical Society. He was an Army veteran and a member of Elks, Anderson Country Club, and Grace Episcopal Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas Jackson Hancock and a daughter, Helen Louise Hancock of Anderson, and a brother, Howard S. Hancock of Sedley.
