HANCOCK Died at the residence of her father, R. L. Hancock, near Vicksville, Southampton Co., Va., Feb. 7, 1907 Martha Hancock after an illness of six days from spinal trouble and pneumonia. She was 13 years of age and bore her suffering with fortitude. Her pastor Rev. D. B. Austin, visited her just before her death and she thought that she was going to a more beautiful world and would meet her brother at the gates of heaven. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, two brothers, four sisters, and many relatives and friends. As her desire was to be buried at Johnson's Grove Church her remains were taken there Feb. 9 and was quietly laid to rest there in the presence of a large crowd. The burial services were read by Mr. J. W. Johnson. She has two cousins and a brother who tenderly await her in the heavenly home. The pall bearers were Millard Williams, Robert McClenny, Pompey Turner, and Tommy Hundley. [Martha E.
