Paul Gallagher. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, with Wright Funeral Home in charge. Hinson died Saturday in a hospital. A native of Charleston, S.C., he was a former Southampton County deputy sheriff. He was the son of Bob and Leona Hinson. He was an employee of Union Camp Corp. and was a 1972 graduate of Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach. He was a Roman Catholic. Other survivors include a sister, Theresa Marie Hinson of Norfolk; a brother, Paul Hinson of Franklin; maternal grandmother, Nellie Zkauskas of New Jersey; and paternal grandmother, Lillie Hinson of Monroe, N.C.
