J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Joe A. French, pastor of the Hunterdale Christian Church, and Rev. John P. Stephenson, pastor of the Franklin Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mr. Hunnings, who was the husband of Mrs. Bonnie Mae Gylon Hunnings of Franklin, died suddenly Monday afternoon, February 18, in Raiford Memorial Hospital. The son of Henry Luther and Mrs. Ada Morris Hunnings of Franklin, he was a sawmill foreman for Union Bag-Camp Paper Corporation and had lived in the Franklin area for 25 years. He was a member of the Hunterdale Christian Church and of the Franklin Lodge No. 51, Knights of Pythias. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by four sons, Richard Lee Hunnings of Suffolk, James Hunnings of the Marine Corps, Camp Lejeune, N. C., and Michael and David Hunnings, both of Franklin; two grandchildren; two brother, Luther C. Hunnings of Norfolk and Walter W. Hunnings of Killeen, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse H. Scott and Mrs. Kirby H. Harn, and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial was in Popular Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Otis Rainey, C. C. Blythe, Jr., D. L. Padget, S. A.
