HENRY Mrs. L.B. Henry a much-beloved and highly esteemed woman of our town, died last Friday, February 18, 1916, after an illness of several months. She was in her 37th year and, before her marriage, was Miss Roberta Hatcher of Charlotte County*. Pope of Drewryville, and on October 31, 1900, she was married in Clarksbury M.E. church to Mr. L.B. Henry, who survived her with one son, Herbert. She has two sisters and a brother living in Arkansas and a sister in this state. The deceased was a faithful Christian, a loyal communicant of the Franklin Methodist church, a devoted wife and mother and a generous neighbor, and the bereaved husband and little son have the deepest sympathy of our townspeople in their loss. The burial services were held Saturday afternoon by Rev. R.M. Chandler of the Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Francis R. Lee of the Episcopal church, the interment being made in Poplar Spring cemetery. The active pallbearers were Harry Steinhardt, J.G. Vann, J.N. Bell, F.E. Howell, Roger G. Jones, G.T. (1) That in the death of Sister Henry this Society has lost one of its most faithful and efficient members, whom we honored for her own, and for her works, sake. (2) That while we mourn the death of our dear sister, and will sadly miss her from our circle, yet we bow in humble submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, knowing that He doeth all things wisely and well. (3) That we extend to the bereaved husband and son of our departed sister, and to her other relatives, our sincere sympathies, and assure them of our prayers in their behalf, that the God of all grace may send the Spirit of comfort to them in their great sorrow. (4) That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of our deceased sister, a copy be spread upon the minutes of this society, and copies be furnished the Tidewater News and the Baltimore and Richmond Christian Advocate for publication.
