ROBERT BROWN HARRUP

   CAPRON - Robert Brown Harrup, 76, died Sunday at 2:15 a.m. in a Newport 
News hospital.

   He was a lifelong resident of Southampton county and a son of the late John 
Robert and Mrs. Susie Kitchen Harrup.

   He was a retired farmer and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

   He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Blanche H. Outten of Portsmouth, Mrs. 
Sallie Bendall of Yale, and Mrs. Sue Butler of Midlothian; and two brothers, 
Herbert Harrup of Jarratt and C.G. Harrup of Capron.

   A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in H.M. Purviance Funeral 
Home at Boykins.  Burial will be in Joyner Cemetery.
