ARTHUR BURRIS HARRIS

   BRANCHVILLE - Arthur B. Harris, 83, a retired merchant and farmer, died 
Jan. 31 in a Franklin hospital.

   Mr. Harris, a Southampton County native, was a member of Branchville United 
Methodist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Vick Harris; a son, Arthur B. Harris Jr. 
of Branchville; a daughter, Suzanne H. Williams of Wilmington, N.C.; and four 
grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Tuesday in Branchville United Methodist Church by 
the Rev. Lee Bowers and the Rev. Phil Motley.  Burial will be in Beechwood 
Cemetery, Boykins.  Memorial donations may be made to Branchville United 
Methodist Church.  McDowell Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
