She was the widow of Frederick H. Harris and a daughter of Joseph and Mrs. Leah Irwin Hawkins Drake of Warrenton, N.C. A native of Warrenton, she lived in Norfolk 40 years. She was a member of Christ and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. During World War II she was director of the volunteer home service of the volunteer home service of the Norfolk Chapter of American Red Cross. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carolea H. Moore of Atlanta and Mrs. Richard Dangle of Snyder, N.Y., and two sons, Joseph B. Harris of Cocoanut, Fla., and Dr. Frederick H. Harris Jr. of Atlanta. A funeral service was held in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Decatur, Ga. Burial was in the Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins on Saturday, March 20, with McDowell Funeral Home making arrangements.
