All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EDWARD BRYANT HARRIS COURTLAND - A funeral service for Edward (Buster) Bryant Harris was conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Courtland Methodist Church by the Rev. Harold M. Fuss, pastor, and the Rev. I.C. Collins of Franklin Church of God. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with McDowell Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Tommy Joyner, R.L. Fink, Milton Futrell, Ben Babb, S.V. Camp III, M.E. Wood, Billy Williams and Johnny Harrison. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men’s Bible Class of Courtland Methodist Church. Harris, 32, died Tuesday night in a Franklin hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Mrs. Linwood Bryant Harris and the late George Ellis Harris. He was an inspector for the Virginia Department of Highways, a member of Courtland Methodist Church and Manry Hunt Club. Besides his mother, surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ann Abernathy Harris, and a son, Robert Ellis Harris, of Courtland; a stepson, George Edward Maitland of Frederick College; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Vaughan Raiford of Courtland.
