MATTIE HARRIS Mrs. Mattie Bradshaw Harris, 68*, a life-long resident of the Franklin community, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Sunday night, January 21, after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Harris was the wife of the late James J. Harris of Franklin, and the daughter of the late William and Susan Mangum Bradshaw of this county. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Miss Mamie Harris and Mrs. R. Howard Ferguson of Franklin and Mrs. Richard Saunders of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and one brother J. Walter Bradshaw of Sedley. Funeral services for Mrs. Harris were conducted at the Franklin Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Randolph L. Gregory and R.D. Stephenson. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the active pallbearers being Lonnie Bradshaw, Edgar Brock, Robert, Clyde Cutchin, R.L. Jones and Willie Spivey. Martha Jane "Mattie" (BRADSHAW; Mrs. Jno.
