Harold Brinson of the Salvation Army. Burial will be in Mill Field [sic; Millfield] Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor. Mrs. Harris, 53, died unexpectedly Monday at 6:55 p.m. at her home, 308 Caroline Ave. She was a daughter of the late Henry Luke Vick Sr., and Fanny Wilkins Vick, of Bertie County, N.C. She was a member of the Salvation Army and Women of the Moose Lodge No. 15 of Suffolk. She is survived by her husband, Ray C. Harris, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. N.H. Bradshaw Jr., and Mrs. David T. Fowler, of Nansemond County; four sisters, Mrs. James T. Derring, of Norfolk, Mrs. Luther C. Cross, and Mrs. E.L. Laine, Jr., both of Suffolk, and Mrs. Wallace Davidson, of Nansemond County; four brothers, Allie F. Vick, Joseph C. Vick, James A. Vick and Henry Luke Vick, Jr., all of Suffolk; her step-mother, Mrs. Annie E. Vick, of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Glenda Leigh Bradshaw and David T. Fowler, Jr., both of Nansemond County, and a number of nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** Vivian Harris Funeral Conducted Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Vick Harris were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by Lt. Harold Brinson, of the Suffolk Salvation Army and Capt. Tom Overton of the Waynesboro Salvation Army and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial was in Mill Field [sic; Millfield] Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor. Lt. and Mrs. Brinson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "In A Land Where We Will Never Grow Old." Mr. Brittle read Tennyson's poem "Crossing the Bar." The casket was covered with a pall of red and white carnations. Pallbearers were D.E. Duncan, Willie V. Hawkins, J.S. Jolly, R.W. McCoy, J.R. Hampton, N. H. Bradshaw, Sr., William Hill and Clarence Jordan. Members of the Moose Auxiliary and the Salvation Army Auxiliary and friends served as honorary pallbearers.
