A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Asbury and Mrs. Martha Holland Harrison and the husband of Mrs. Nellie Johnson Harrison. He was a lifelong member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, Nurney J. Harrison of Portsmouth and five sisters, Mrs. Ora Lee, Mrs. Hattie Deans, Mrs. Violet Travis, Mrs. Oakley Scott and Mrs. Lee Clara Jones of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home by the Rev. Grover T. Holder, the Rev. Harry Christie and the Rev. Don McNair. Grover T. Holden, the Rev. Harry Christie, and the Rev. Don McNair. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Pallbearers were Hubert Lee Jr., Harvie Jones, Edgar Brown, Robert Parrish, Herbert Parrish, Charles Glenn, Edward Johnson and Gene Worrell.
